Terms and Conditions
1. Who we are and what SkillWeb is SkillWeb is an online marketplace operated by Amplivine, Wustermark, Germany. We bring together customers who look for help and providers who offer services (private persons and small businesses). We are not a party to the agreements between customers and providers and do not provide the services ourselves. Customers can book and pay for a service through SkillWeb. The payment is processed by our payment provider Stripe. The money is released to the provider when the job is done. We deduct a commission (see section [8a]), and an invoice or receipt for the job is created in SkillWeb. Cancellations, no-shows and disputes follow the rules in section [8a].
2. Who can use SkillWeb You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into contracts. You need an account with a confirmed email address. You give correct information and keep it up to date. One person, one account. Keep your login details secret; tell us if you suspect misuse.
3. Customers Browsing providers is free. You use provider contact and offer information only to arrange services. [Free for customers: please confirm.]
4. Providers
- You can switch on "I want to offer services" in the app and set up a service profile. A profile picture is optional.
- Your profile shows your public name (first name and the first letter of your surname, or your business name), your texts, photos, services, prices, service area and references. Your private address, email and uploaded documents are not public. Text you enter in your legal notice (Impressum) and the client names you list as references are public as soon as your profile is published.
- Your information must be true, current and lawful, and you must hold any permits, qualifications or registrations your services require. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance and legal notice.
- You may not publish content that is illegal, misleading, discriminatory or violates the rights of others, and you may only upload photos and texts you have the right to use. You give us a non-exclusive right to show this content on SkillWeb and in our app, and to translate it automatically, for as long as your profile is published.
- Fees: [none at present / to be decided when payments are added].
5. Document checks and publishing For some services you must upload documents (for example proof of qualification). Our staff check them. A profile is published only when it is complete and the documents needed for at least one service are approved; we may reject documents that are unreadable, incomplete or doubtful. A check is not a guarantee of quality or of the provider's reliability. We do not check every statement a provider makes.
5a. Automated checks of documents (AI)
- When you upload a document for verification (for example a photo ID, an insurance certificate or a trade registration), it may be read by an AI service as an aid to our check. This is a third-party AI model service that we reach through OpenRouter. The data is processed in the EU where this is available [confirm with OpenRouter and the chosen model]. We send the document to the service once, for this check, with settings that ask for no training on your data and no retention of it.
- The AI does not take over the decision. If it finds no problem and is sure enough, the document may be approved automatically. If it finds a problem, is not sure, or is not available, a person on our team decides. The AI never rejects a document: only a person does. A person also looks at a random sample, about one in ten, of the documents the AI would have approved.
- What we keep of the AI result: only its verdict (no problem found, or problem found), how sure it was and, when it did not approve, a short reason. We do not keep ID numbers, dates of birth, addresses or other content read from the document. The document itself stays in our private storage, visible only to you and our staff.
- The image of a photo ID is deleted 30 days after the check has finished, and at the latest when you delete your account. Other documents are kept as described in section 6.
- You can ask what the AI result was: "Your data" in the app under Account (export as JSON or CSV) includes it. "Delete my account" deletes it. For anything else, for example if you want a person to look at a decision again, write to info@skillweb.space.
6. Suspension and ending your account We may switch a profile off, suspend it until a set date, or close an account if you break these terms, give false information, endanger others, or the law requires it. Where possible we tell you why by email. You can stop using SkillWeb at any time. You can delete your account yourself in the app under Account. Your data is then deleted, except the verification documents and trader details, which we keep for 6 months because of a legal duty and then delete. Photo ID images are the exception: they are deleted at once, with your account.
7. Agreements between customers and providers Any contract for a service is made only between the customer and the provider. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, schedule or price of a service. We handle the payment only as described in section 1 and section [8a].
8. Our liability We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee. For slightly negligent breach of an essential duty (one whose fulfilment makes proper use of SkillWeb possible) our liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence. We do not guarantee that SkillWeb is always available or free of errors; we may carry out maintenance.
9. Content and notices If you see illegal content, write to info@skillweb.space with the profile and the reason. We review notices and may remove content.
10. Changes to these terms We may change these terms for good reasons (for example new features or legal changes). When we change them, a notice appears in the app and you must accept the new terms before you continue using SkillWeb. If you do not accept, you can delete your account in the app under Account.
11. Final provisions German law applies; for consumers, mandatory consumer-protection rules of their country of residence remain unaffected. If a clause is invalid, the others stay valid. Place of jurisdiction for merchants: Wustermark, Germany. Last updated: 04/11/2026.
